History
Jeff Hinkle began his career at Payne-Huber Engineering, Inc., one of the most respected structural engineering consultancies in Oklahoma. There he focused on structure design for petrochemical facilities, equipment design and analysis of ASME B31.3 & B31.8 piping networks. After seven years of service at Payne-Huber, a friend working for Exterran Corp. presented an opportunity to work on larger projects with more diverse scopes of supply. At the time, Exterran was the premier supplier of GSP cryogenic systems to the domestic natural gas downstream market. While with Exterran, Jeff started as a foundation & structures specialist, but quickly took on additional roles as the global subject matter expert for structures, management of the civil engineering group and then management of the facility design group which touched on all aspects of designing and constructing natural gas processing plants.
During his time with Exterran, massive changes in design codes & regulatory requirements; the constant improvement of technological capabilities; and the experience of completing a project in a bull market when schedule is the client’s top priority and then several years later completing an identical project in a bear market when cost is the client’s top priority inspired him to cultivate his own practice - one that would be able to meet its client’s needs with the agility, dedication and technical mastery that Jeff has gained throughout his career. The decision to start a business was ultimately the end of one journey and the trailhead for his new chosen path. It’s not simply working through a punch list that drives completion of a project - it’s the passion and dedication behind those actions. That passion and dedication is what sets him apart.
Jeff Hinkle Company formally organized in the fall of 2022 and began taking on clients in the summer of 2023.

Jeff Hinkle
From the beginning of his professional career at Payne-Huber Engineering, Inc., to opening his own practice, Jeff has served clients large and small for nearly 20 years. In 2012, he began work on what would become the largest natural gas processing facility in the United States, and he continues to provide the same dedication that built that facility to all of his clients. Practicing since before the shale gas boom in the United States, Jeff has hands-on experience juggling the ever-present quality triangle of scope, schedule & budget through bull and bear markets.
